Payment, Cancellation, And Refund Policies


At Travel 2 Peru, we believe in transparent communication and want to ensure you have a clear understanding of our policies. Please review the following details regarding cancellations, refunds, and changes:

1. Cancellations

Cancellation 30 Days - 06 Days After Confirmation: Operational and Ticket Expenses

  • A cancellation received 30 days before your trip or 05 days after confirmation incurs a US$ 45.00 per person operational expense penalty.
  • Full penalties apply to Wayna Picchu, Machupichu mountain, and Machu Picchu entrances, as per Ministry of Culture policies.
  • Train ticket cancellations have an additional 15% penalty, per INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL policies.
  • Hotel reservations are subject to individual establishment policies.

Cancellation Less Than 30 Days - 04 Days After Confirmation: Operational and Ticket Expenses

  • A cancellation received less than 30 days before your trip or 04 days after confirmation incurs a US$ 45.00 per person operational expense penalty.
  • Full penalties apply to Wayna Picchu, Machupichu mountain, and Machu Picchu entrances, as per Ministry of Culture policies.
  • Train ticket cancellations have an additional 50% penalty, per INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL policies.
  • Hotel reservations are subject to individual establishment policies.

Last-Minute Cancellation - 72 Hours: 100% Penalty

  • Cancellations received within 72 hours of your trip incur a 100% penalty.

Special Case: Inca Trail

  • No refunds are granted for the Inca Trail service once confirmed due to its unique nature.

Special Cases Beyond Our Control

  • Cancellations due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, protests, strikes, emergency decrees, or any event making a scheduled tour impossible, incur a 50% penalty of the agreed-upon amount.

2. Refunds

The refund process depends on third parties (Hotels, Trains, Entries, Flights):

  • Train refunds require in-person processing, with approximately 20 days for companies to process.
  • Entry refunds only allow changes, with special circumstances taking about 15 days.
  • Hotel and Flight refunds adhere to each company's policies.
  • Refunds are processed through the original payment method.
  • For credit cards and bank transfers, the processing time is 15 days.

3. Date Changes

Date Change 30 Days - 05 Days After Confirmation: Operational and Ticket Expenses

  • A change request received 30 days before your trip or 05 days after confirmation incurs a US$ 00.00 per person operational expense penalty.
  • Waynpaicchu, Machupichu mountain, and Machu Picchu entries incur a US$ 15.00 penalty, as per Ministry of Culture policies.
  • Train ticket changes have an additional 5% penalty, per INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL policies.
  • Hotel date changes are subject to individual establishment policies.

Date Change Less Than 30 Days - 03 Days After Confirmation: Operational and Ticket Expenses

  • A change request received less than 30 days before your trip or 03 days after confirmation incurs a US$ 00.00 per person operational expense penalty.
  • Waynpaicchu, Machupichu mountain, and Machu Picchu entries incur a US$ 15.00 penalty, as per Ministry of Culture policies.
  • Train ticket changes have an additional 10% penalty, per INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL policies.
  • Hotel date changes are subject to individual establishment policies.

Special Case: Inca Trail

  • Date changes for the Inca Trail service are subject to availability, with a US$ 120.00 per person penalty.

These policies are in place to ensure the smooth operation of your trip and the adherence to established guidelines. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

4. Pricing And Fees

  • All tour prices are quoted in US dollars.
  • Prices may vary during peak seasons such as Easter, Christmas, and New Year, with advance notice from our representatives.
  • Package prices are per person, based on double occupancy in standard rooms across all hotels, including services, transfers, specified excursions, specialized guides, and entry tickets unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices do not include additional expenses like tips, airport taxes, airfare, excess baggage, or any unspecified services.
  • If personal information provided for booking is incorrect or requires updates (e.g., passports), notify us immediately. Changes incur a penalty set by the service providers, which is the client's responsibility.

5. Visa, Documentation, Permits, And Insurance

  • Clients commit to obtaining necessary documents and permits for itinerary activities.
  • Clients agree to allow our representatives to make copies of personal documents for accounting and administrative purposes, maintaining confidentiality.
  • According to Peruvian law, tourists cannot stay more than 60 days. If a client exceeds this period, an additional 18% IGV (General Sales Tax) is payable.

6. Itineraries

  • Itineraries are carefully planned but may be adjusted for operational reasons or unforeseen circumstances. The order of activities or specified routes may change, ensuring safety and the optimal travel experience.
  • The company reserves the right to make modifications due to weather conditions, river levels, flight times, or other relevant reasons without prior notice, prioritizing safety and trip efficiency.
  • If itinerary activities vary, get rescheduled last minute, or are canceled due to factors beyond our control, such as flight delays, social conflicts, adverse weather, roadblocks, or other inconveniences caused by third parties, the company is not responsible for issuing refunds.

7. Reservations

  • A 50% prepayment of the total tour cost is required to secure a reservation, with the remaining 50% payable in cash upon arrival in Cusco.
  • Reservation confirmation requires detailed passenger information: Full Name, Passport Number, Nationality, Age, Gender. Informing about allergies, medical conditions, passenger characteristics, food preferences, etc., is recommended.
  • Upon prepayment, our sales agent will email a reservation confirmation, serving as a guarantee document. Clients should thoroughly review and respond to the email.
  • If your reservation includes accommodation nights, hotel confirmation is subject to availability. In case the specified hotel is unavailable, a similar category and priced alternative will be provided.
  • Last-minute reservations (24 hours before client arrival) may be accepted with special conditions, explicitly stated and agreed upon through email correspondence.
